Tonight is sort of “Aeon night” at Ce Soir, as we bring in two musicians known not only for their music but also for their generous and ongoing support of The Wounded Warriors Project. This wonderful non-profit organisation in the US is designed to support military veterans wounded in the line of duty – and their families. While tonight’s shows are NOT related to the charity, we thought it a great opportunity to share information about it. Now, on to the music!

PonDman Haalan, aka Alton Rex, plays at 5 PM SLT. He is a nationally touring performing songwriter in the US and has been a professional musician for over 40 years. He brings this history of musicianship to his Second Life performances. A true artist and poet, his originals have been featured in several RL and SL venues. We at Ce Soir is pleased to host this singer/songwriter and we invite you to come along and enjoy his special blend of captivating melodies and whimsical story songs. It is Americana extraordinaire, and you’ll find yourself tapping your foot – or dancing outright! – and singing along! With wide musical influences such as finger-style masters Merle Travis and Chet Atkins, classic blues and rock players such as Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page, FretsNirvana draws on a catalog of music that features guitar in a wide variety of sound. He feels that “Life is too short for One Groove,” and as a result his playing keeps the listener interested using all these musical colors.  Recently Frets has gone back to some of his old electric guitar influences to offer an even wider tonal color to his constantly changing song list.
