Wednesday! JooZz Magic and Ex-FM Radio: TODAY at Ce Soir!

Wednesdays can sometimes be rather uninspired – as days of the weeks go. But, coming as they do, in the midst of everything else that is happening in the week, they have a natural spotlight. In America, Wednesdays are often referred to as “hump days,” meaning that we have trudged so far up the hill of the week so as to make a turn down the other side of it. We’ve reached the apex of the hours and now can hit that height and slide right on down to le weekend. I admit that is a tempting image; it is one of progress and achievement – of sweet reward. So…as we hit this day, let us celebrate it with music!

The lovely LISA BRUNE was to take the stage at 2 PM SLT today, but she is a finalist in a wonderful contest for singers today, and must cancel. We just learned of this and are so happy for you, Lisa! We know you will do well and return to let us know soon. Bonne chance, mon amie!

We do have something very special coming your way! It’s someone new to Ce Soir. JooZz Magic is, however, no stranger to the SL music scene. This outstanding Dutch musician, playing his own compositions on truly magic keys, joins us for an entrancing hour at 3 PM SLT. His music is best described as coming from nowhere, going places. Starting from scratch, JooZz takes you along to many exciting musical destinations, transferring breathtaking vistas into jewels of brilliant sound. Sometimes danceable, always rich, and spiked with healthy doses of melancholy and lessons of life, his concerts are always fresh, filled with jazz, funk, ballads and other float-away tunes. Using the piano as a point of reference, his compositions, independent of any music style, keep your mind in motion. Groove with us!

Songwriter/keyboard master/musicologist Experiment Rhode joins us at 4 PM SLT for a two-hour musical journey with Ex-FM Radio. Broadcasting live from Ce Soir, Ex brings his expertise in popular music history and much more to share. One part of the well-known Australian SL trio, SOAR, Ex will take us back through his amazing and eclectic collection of music both classic and obscure and include lots of trivia as well. Every show is “one-of-a-kind” and he has some interesting surprises in store. You’re guaranteed to learn more about the music and musicians, and leave with a smile.
