Yes, today is Aeon‘s Birthday! We have celebrated quite a few of these together, and it is my joy to celebrate another – and to look forward to many, many more!

To celebrate, we took a bit of a day off and enjoyed a leisurely breakfast and a morning of wandering the property and enjoying the sun and fresh air. We did our usual morning writing hour and had lunch catered in. It was delicious, and just what Aeon wanted. He enjoyed it – and the sweet strawberry shortcake that is his traditional birthday cake.

Well…he has two every year.

YES…Aeon has TWO birthday cakes every year: strawberry shortcake for lunch and something completely WILD and DECADENT dans le gâteau au chocolat department in the evening. For today, I had prepared something very special for him:  le gâteau au chocolat à trois avec la glace à la fraise. It was delicious!

We had a lovely day and evening together. Joyeux anniversaire, mon amour !
