Move over, M! It’s me! I have a few things to say this day too…
As you all know, we’re slowly easing our way back to a more active calendar at Ce Soir Arts, mostly because Mireille still tires pretty quickly and because we want the optimum experience for ourselves and everyone. She may be doing remarkably well (considering!), but we need to be gentle where she is concerned. I very much thank you all for your kindness and understanding!
Thursdays have long been filled with fun at Ce Soir Arts! At 2 PM SLT, Russell Eponym joins us for his own folk, blues, and beyond – streaming in LIVE from Wales. Come along and join us at Ce Soir Castle for Russell‘s unique take on some of the best music ever written including some outstanding covers and his own exceptional compositions. His way with a guitar (banjo, mandolin, and even the kazoo) is second to none and you’ll definitely enjoy both his 6- and 12-string guitar fingerstyles as well as his velvety vocals. He has an extensive repertoire that just keeps growing, and there’s something for everyone; humour, love songs, and folk tales set to music fill the hour – along with Russell‘s inimitable style and the banter amongst the lovely Eponymous Family who gathers to enjoy his captivating sound..

The Sound Jeweler
THEN, at 8 PM SLT, the Chillmaster, MoShang Zhao joins us – as he does every Thursday – at Ce Soir Castle. Come on over and relax to the soothing yet energizing sounds of the ever-evolving chilltronica – delivered LIVE and with love from Taiwan. MoShang is an exceptional musician whose sound innovations just keep on coming. His technological genius is something to behold, and you can’t help but dance, for even when the music soothes, it’s about movement and magic. Don’t miss this truly unique sound that travels around the globe to reach us all where we meet at Ce Soir Castle. Super Typhoon Usagi seems to have missed Taiwan, but there was LOTS of rain! We are thinking of you and yours, MoShang!
You have likely noticed as well that the beautiful Catalan artist Xirana Oximoxi has returned to Ce Soir Arts Gallery (and The Conservatory) with a group of excellent new works. Each of the paintings and sculptural pieces are available for purchase; each one is a part of this collection for a reason, although they shine on their own merits. Xirana‘s abstract, impressionistic interpretations are stand-outs and the landscapes evoke an undeniable sense of presence with nature. African themes meander through the exhibit to delight you, and the sculptures are both elegant and playful in feeling.
Xirana‘s artwork will be on exhibit throughout the month of September (and beyond, if we can convince her to stay a week or so longer), so do come by and take some time enjoying her work. You’ll be so pleased you did!

Don’t forget! We also continue with the Poet Laureate of Ce Soir Arts,Russell Eponym, and his weekly readings at The Magic Tree Reading Spot. This magical hour (Noon SLT, every Tuesday) seems to grow richer with depth and delight each week, as Russell shares from across the poetic landscape. Each week, he opens with music and then wafts into a very special Thought for the Day that inspires us all. Then…the poetry and other readings ensue. It is always such a pleasure to listen to Russell, for his acumen, sensitivity, and impeccable readings are a joy! It’s a comfortable, cozy atmosphere, so do come join us every Tuesday for an hour you will treasure.
We’ll return to a more usual schedule, but we’ve seen the wisdom of moving deliberately and with care. We thank each and every one of you for your continued understanding and encouragement. Thank you for visiting at Ce Soir Arts – and please come any time to enjoy the gardens, the art, the lovely music stream. Dance, relax, and enjoy yourselves!
Come…be inspired tonight!
