HALLOWE’EN HIJINX sets us off for autumn…

Hallowe’en is a favourite holiday for us, in part owing to its creepiness and natural affiliation with the macabre. But it’s also fun for us because of the wild and wonderful fun people have celebrating TRICK or TREAT! The inventive costumes, silly (and deeply dark) behaviors, and that well, “let it all hang out” attitude just sort of captures our imaginations. How fun it is to see what people will come up with as they dress up – or, in some cases, down – and gather for good times and laughter. Oh, and let’s not forget the TREATS! There’s nothing like some gooey eyeball candies and moldy-green Frankenstein cookies washed down with some, ummm, absinthe or gory wine!

We made over The Castle stage into a spooky cemetery for the holiday, awash in mist and fog, it was downright creepy…and we loved it! Apparently, so did Russell Eponym, who musketeered his way across the seas to join us for 90 minutes of fantabulous music and mayhem! What a crowd we had – people from around the world, dressed as every imaginable character in every amazing style! We had ladies-in-waiting, ghoulish queens, superheroes of every description including Superman, and characters from every eerie show you can name – including dear Cousin It from the Addams Family! Swashbuckling pirates, geisha girls, Sasquaches, and full-fanged wolves darkened our door – and we loved every minute of it!
