Something…creepy…this way comes! Caledonia reads The Graveyard Book – in The Dungeon….

Halloween would not be complete without at least one more scary ghost story! And have we got a story for you! muahahaha!

Caledonia Skytower, writer and reader par excellence, will join us to read a final selection from the horrific tale of Bod, the young boy who has lost his parents and finds himself adopted by a group of truly-very-dead denizens of a graveyard.  This spooky story rivals many a fright-night tale…and Cale chills the spookiness with her deft reading of Neil Gaiman’s award-winning story. Can a boy raised by ghosts face the wonders and terrors of the worlds of both the living and the dead? And then there are beings such as ghouls and goblins to manage… *shivers*

Gaiman’s The Graveyard Book won the Newbery Medal and the Carnegie Medal and is a Hugo Award Winner for Best Novel. Come on over to Witchwood Hollow and sink to the depths of The Graveyard Dungeon to enjoy this frightfully wonderful story!

NOTE please, that Cale will arrive immediately after the airing of the chilling reading of her very own winning tale In the Mist: An Irish Tale for Hallowe’en on the grid-wide televised programme Designing Worlds. Hosts Saffia Widdershins and Elrik Merlin take part in the reading, along with excellent reader/actor Corwyn Allen and – of course – Caledonia, the author, herself. Photography is by another of our favourites here at Ce Soir Arts: the wonderful Wildstar Beaumont! Click HERE to attend the broadcast at the Designing Worlds studio at Garden of Dreams. We’ll be ready to go at 3 PM on Monday (Halloween), so do come join us in The Undertaker’s Parlour, a special area of The Dungeon. If you’d like more information about Cale‘s writing (and more on this lovely in-world programme), visit her RL blog by clicking HERE.

Our beloved sim, Ce Soir, is featured in the programme, which you can view after the programme airs, by clicking HERE (thanks to LaPiscean Liberty and the folks at SLartist). Enjoy this wonderful story and presentation – and then come over to Ce Soir Arts and enjoy this chilling location! Click HERE for your hearse…and note that you will land inside. Come…simply follow the screams…and be inspired tonight!
