BRYN TALEWEAVER, Londoner and totally brilliant spoken word artist dropped in at The Magic Tree today to bring us a sparkling dose of Seasonal Spirit! Master of many voices, Bryn imbues each of his readings with style and energy. Today was no exception, and we especially enjoyed his recounting of the well-known and beloved work of Dylan Thomas in A Child’s Christmas in Wales. This is a challenging but thoroughly compelling reading, and Bryn’s special touch brought it to life as we gathered at The Magic Tree Reading Spot. It was a warming hour, just right for this point in the holidays!
Afterward, Æon and I reprised our reading from yesterday – A Child’s Christmas: When Visions of Sugar Plums Danced in Our Heads. Revisiting the work of Eugene Field (lots of laughter, ensuing) and Æon‘s wonderful reading of Clement C. Moore’s A Visit from Saint Nicholas, we enjoyed every moment!
One more day in this week of holiday celebrating awaits – Thursday’s musical extravaganza with RUSSELL EPONYM (2 PM), ANJ GUSTAFSON (6 PM) and NUVOLINO (7 PM) at Château Ce Soir will have us all dancing with merriment. See you there!
