You must join us for the festivities and the exceptional programming at The Magic Tree on Tuesday, 10 January! First, our beloved Poet Laureate – RUSSELL EPONYM – will celebrate 4000 days in Second Life! His 11th anniversary is coming right up, but we tink that 4000 days is something to celebrate too – so come on over to enjoy his music and readings AND some cake! (I can just hear Captain…”CAKE!”) Wheeee!

THEN, we have a very special event: Caledonia Skytower and Eleseren Brianna will present THE CURIO, a virtual art and story project by Eleseren Brianna.  The installation included 2D and 3D art pieces, and Eleseren and Caledonia will present THE CURIO and ETERNITY’S TEST (Cale’s piece written especially for the paired reading), live at The Magic Tree on Tuesday, 10 January 2017 at 1:30 PM SLT. See the post from last Friday for more detailed information about this exciting presentation.

The week looks intriguing – with the above and more readings with Bryn Taleweaver and Dubhna Rhiadra coming up too. Bryn, truly a master storyteller – with the voices and deep understanding of the poetry and stories he reads – will take us on a literary journey to India that is sure to please. Come enjoy Folktales and Legends of India with Bryn. Dubhna begins a three-part reading of her work “The Dream Factory,” a story about a dystopian world in which the dreams of children are stolen and used for power. Composed especially for the LEA project “The Brave,” the tale outlines how two children escape and discover their true natures. Fascinating!
