The three events noted in the last post went beautifully, and a good time was had by all! Check out that posting and go exploring – you will not be disappointed. BUT HURRY! Whilst BE ART will be open deep into June, the other two are closing very soon. Go! Now! Quick! Like a bunny! (Psst! SLurls are in the last posting…)
To say that we enjoyed the Memorial Day weekend here in the US would be a poor representation of the fun we had with family and friends. The BBQ was delicious, the gathering and catching up with everyone was fabulous, and our activities in SL were quite satisfying. And so…we open this coming week with smiles!
As you can see by the schedule below, we’ll have an array of excellent spoken word events on Tuesday and Wednesday. Poet Laureate Russell Eponym will join us at noon on Tuesday with his usual engaging hour of poetry, prose, and song at The Magic Tree. Caledonia Skytower follows at 1:30 PM, with treasures discovered as she took a look into the archives of her own writings; we can’t wait! MrG Darkrose provides an hour with a special faerytale, as he takes a break from the Harry Potter books with this charming story by Katherine Pyle. Delightful!
When Wednesday rolls around, master storyteller Bryn Taleweaver returns from his Italian vacation with a story he wrote, inspired by time in the Sicilian hills; Weird Tales will have our attention at 1 PM SLT. Afterward, our friend Dubhna Rhiadra – a wonderful writer and reader – will present a beautiful Welsh folktale about Rhiannon, a historically celebrated figure. We are in anticipation and hope that you’ll come along too!
Russell returns on Thursday with his signature folk, blues, and beyond at Château Ce Soir. A friendly group always gathers at 2 PM, and you’re invited! Do check below for information about what’s coming up this week – and join us!
The Magic Tree and Château Ce Soir await!
